HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – We had an extremely nice day in Eastern Kentucky today with highs in the 24s. We can take that forecast and copy and paste it to get Wednesday’s forecast.

DISCUSSION:

After having an overall nice Monday and even Tuesday in Eastern Kentucky, we can hit copy and paste for Wednesday as highs will be back above 75 degrees and there will be plenty of sunshine again.

On Thursday, temperatures will slowly reach 27 to 30 degrees again before summer says: “Stop!” And the maximum temperatures will drop to over 30 degrees on Friday and to just over 35 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

OUTLOOK

Overall, the first week of high school football is going to be a great week. Friday, temperatures are expected to be back in the 30s and there will be plenty of sunshine. Definitely a good night to get out and enjoy your local high school football teams.

As of today, our high is no longer 85 degrees. It’s 84 degrees, if that’s any indication that fall is just around the corner. On August 29, our average temperature will drop to 83 degrees.
