Hammer went on to say he was hesitant to sell his car because it had given him special memories over the years, including driving his children home from the hospital and other “fantastic trips.”

“But you know what? That’s OK,” he said. “That’s OK. I have a new car. It’s tiny. It’s a hybrid. I’ll probably spend about $10 a month on gas and that’s all.”

The Social Network actor then pointed his camera at the items in his car that he had to clear out before selling his truck. The items included a bundle of rope, a medicine bottle and a pack of gum.

“I will start my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles.”

In the lengthy video, he appeared emotional about having to part with his beloved pickup, adding that his children were “not happy” about the decision to sell the car as they had so many memories associated with the truck.

He admitted that he experienced “ego death,” “career death,” and “financial death” after several women came forward claiming he was “cannabalistic” and that they had been sexually abused by Hammer.

Hammer stated at the time that he was broke after the sexual abuse allegations came to light in January 2021. He confirmed to Bill Maher during a podcast episode of “Club Random” that he had not received any money from his family.

“Some people might look at me and say, ‘Yeah, but financially you’re in a completely different position than you’ve ever been in your whole life,'” the actor later explained in an interview. “And I look at that and say, ‘Yeah, and you know what I learned from that is that I don’t need that because I’ve never been happier in my whole life.'”

Several women accused Hammer of sharing sexual fantasies with them that involved cannibalism. The first accusation came from the anonymous Instagram account House of Effie. Unconfirmed screenshots allegedly showed messages Hammer sent to an unidentified woman in which he described BDSM acts and admitted that the actor was “100% a cannibal.”

Paige Lorenze, the actor’s ex-girlfriend, claimed that Hammer had urges to smoke and eat her ribs, which was “definitely disturbing.”

At least two other women came forward with similar stories and the actor was also accused of rape. Hammer denied all allegations at the time.

In 2023, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced that no charges would be filed against Hammer in connection with the allegations.
