OGDEN – Artists from across Utah are invited to showcase the city of Ogden.

A press release from Ogden City Arts, Culture & Events on Monday called on artists to help celebrate the upcoming 100th anniversary of Union Station.

“In honor of Union Station’s 100th anniversary this year, the Ogden Begins Here Show offers artists the opportunity to showcase Ogden’s unique history and distinctive character in their work,” the press release states. “What makes Ogden-Ogden?

“Union Station, the center of historic 25th Street, features two art galleries and an ongoing exhibit of antique automobiles, historic Browning firearms, artifacts, and a wide variety of locomotives and railroad history. Partnering with Ogden City Arts to host the Community Art Show is a wonderful opportunity for Utah creatives to showcase their work.”

Artists are asked to submit a maximum of one artwork completed within the last two years by October 7 at 4 p.m.

“There is no fee to participate in the competition. If an artist’s work is selected as the winner, he or she will receive a fee,” the press release continues. “The exhibition will open on Friday, November 8th and will run until Friday, January 24th, 2025.”
