FLORENCE, Ky. (WXIX) – A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the capture of the suspects who broke into two gun stores in Florence.

The award comes from the Louisville Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The suspects are accused of breaking into two gun stores in Florence: the first on August 17 at Triggers Firearms on Lloyd Avenue and the second on August 18 at Range USA on Mall Road.

According to the ATF, a vehicle was used in both crimes to break through the front wall of the store.

In both cases, according to the ATF, six people stole numerous weapons from the stores and then fled in a limousine.

“Due to the geographic proximity, there is a distinct possibility that the perpetrators and/or firearms are in the Cincinnati area,” ATF’s Suzanne Dabkowski said in an email.

Here is a breakdown of the ATF reward:

“ATF Louisville Field Division is offering a reward of up to $5,000, as well as a reward of up to $5,000 from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the break-ins at Triggers Firearms and Range USA. This total $10,000 reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between ATF and NSSF in which NSSF will match ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed gun dealers. NSSF is the trade association for the firearms industry. ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to reduce the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.”
