Atlanta Braves News: Bold sweep, Chris Sales greatness and more

Chris Sale once again led with an uncharacteristically combative performance, capping a sweep of the Twins that stripped Atlanta of pretty much everything it had to offer. With each non-disastrous start, Chris Sale gets closer and closer to winning his first career Cy Young at the tender age of 35. It would be (and probably will be) a great accomplishment for one of the pitchers who defined his era in the sport but somehow never won one. It would also move him one step closer to the Hall of Fame, for which he may not yet be eligible. Sale leads NL pitchers with 1.6 fWAR, and likely AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal leads with 0.9 fWAR. The Braves got more than they bargained for in this masterful trade.
