FORECAST
Have a great weekend! Although we’ll be taking a few degrees off our highs this weekend, it will still feel like summer with temperatures in the 35s and noticeable humidity. The heat index could be between 38 and 41 degrees each afternoon.
Fall officially begins on Sunday morning at 7:44 a.m. with the autumnal equinox. A cold front will move across the country just in time. The cooler air will mostly stay north of San Antonio. However, looking at the latest forecast data, we could at least benefit from refreshingly drier, less humid air. Highs on Monday could barely rise above 27 degrees.
However, this will not last as the chance of rain increases slightly again next week, with a 20-30% chance on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A cluster of thunderstorms in the western Caribbean could develop into a tropical depression or named tropical storm. It could move into the Gulf of Mexico next week. We will continue to monitor this system and provide updates, but the most likely outcome would be direct impacts well east of Texas – in areas from Mississippi to Florida.
