In preparation for the first day of school next week, the Cape Coral Fire Department is distributing reflective flashing lights for backpacks.

“Many students walk or wait for the bus in the morning when it is still dark,” says Deputy Fire Chief Mike Russell, “To make them more visible on the way to school, we encourage parents to pick up a free backpack flashing light from any of our fire stations in Cape Coral.”
