While using the self-checkout lane at Walmart (550 US Hwy. 27 in Clermont) on Wednesday afternoon, Tenneille Geisha Rahming, 27, was observed by anti-theft employees failing to scan several items, according to a police report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Rahming stacked several items of clothing on top of each other, scanned one or two of them, then placed the stack in the bagging area. She paid for the scanned items and left the store past all the checkout counters without paying for the non-scanned items in her cart, the report said.

When loss prevention officers contacted the LCSO, it was discovered that Rahming had failed to scan 23 items with a retail value of $211.06. These were eventually recovered, the report states.

When viewing surveillance footage of the incident at the store, Rahming stated it was a misunderstanding and she would pay for the items, the report said.

Rahming was subsequently arrested for petty shoplifting. She was taken to the Lake County Jail and released after posting $500.
