BALLSTON LAKE, NY (NEWS10) — Finnigan’s on the Lake, 175 Lake Road in Ballston Lake, has closed permanently. Owners Matt and Stephanie Finnigan announced the news on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

On August 13, owners announced that Finnigan’s would remain closed until further notice due to illness. The permanent closure was announced five days later, on August 18.

“Unfortunately, for me (Matt), my health has to come first as my current situation is the third time I have faced death in the last 34 months,” said Matt Finnigan.

Finnigan’s on the Lake opened in 2021 in the former Villago space. The Finnigans previously owned the now-closed Carney’s Tavern on Main Street in Ballston Lake. Finnigan’s on the Lake served pizza, burgers, specialty sandwiches, salads, soups and more.

“We would like to thank all of our patrons, friends, families and staff for their support and hard work,” the Finnigans said. “We will miss you all and hope to see you again in the future.”
