The Cincinnati Bengals fell short of expectations on the scoreboard in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but made some key changes that should inspire confidence for the rest of the season.

The snap counts from the game say it all, so here are a few quick takeaways.

  • On Sunday there was a shift in the backfield, Zack Moss 80 percent of attacking plays, compared to 20 percent for Follow Braun. The combination as such was productive, with Moss making some key plays.

  • The tight end boom came. Three names played at least 47 percent of the snaps, with Mike Gesicki actually behind Erick All And Drew SampleHowever, Gesicki ended up being the team’s best receiver with seven catches for 91 yards.

  • Ja’Marr Chase was back at over 90 percent, now that he is back in full action and the contract situation is apparently at an end.

  • When Tea Higgins gets back those 35 snaps for Thomas E. could reach zero, especially in Andrei Iosvias Looks like a rising star.

  • Jermaine Burton only played 10 snaps, but made the most of it with Joe Burrow’s 47-yard bomb.

  • Trey Hendrickson And Sam Hubbard went for over 70 percent of the snaps, which may not be sustainable all season. They really need Michael Murphy withdraw from IR.

  • You also need Zach Carter and the other substitutes are not reaching 70 percent, but the injuries are piling up.

  • It is absolutely breathtaking to see Battle of Jordan after his promising start last year, only got one snap.
