Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco aren’t shy when it comes to their relationship. The couple have shared plenty of photos of public affection and have even spoken publicly about getting married and starting a family, despite only being together for a little over a year. So it was quite a surprise that Blanco didn’t join Gomez on the red carpet tonight at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Instead Only murders in the building The actress walked the carpet alone at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. She did so with grace and style, wearing an elegant dress by Ralph Lauren.
Although Blanco was not pictured with Gomez, he supported her from the sidelines. In footage from E! NewsHe could be seen walking behind the star in a black jeweled tuxedo.
This year’s Emmys are a big night for the actress: Not only did she receive her first nomination as an actress for her portrayal of Mabel Mora in Hulu’s Only murdersbut she also received her third nomination as a producer on the series, making her the most nominated Latina producer in the history of the awards show.
Gomez recently shared that her relationship with Blanco is unlike any other. “I have never been loved like this,” she said in a cover story for Vanity Fair“He was just a light. An absolute light in my life. He is my best friend. I love telling him everything.”
In light of the engagement rumors, she also mentioned that there is no pressure for Blanco to propose. “We always make sure to protect what we have, but there are no rules,” she said. “I want him to always be himself. I always want to be myself.”
