Fair food! It’s that time of year again when everyone can eat 10,000 calories guilt-free in the name of community involvement. The EISF food vendors came together to bring their best and newest creations for the media to judge. It was a close call in every single category!

This contest has produced some of the best food at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Winners are chosen in four categories: Prettiest of All, Sweetest of All, Best New Entrée, and Best New Sweet Product. Winners receive a banner to hang in their booth declaring them the 2023 Champions. They also have the honor of presenting the Golden Corn Dog and Golden Apple trophies during fair week. Local media representatives sample each entry and judge it on appearance and taste. To make their voices heard, the People’s Choice Award was voted on by the public. This contest has become increasingly competitive and fun for everyone!
