Best Jiaoqiu Beams in Honkai: Star Rail

Best Jiaoqiu Beams in Honkai: Star Rail

Jiaoqiu is a Nihility character in Honkai: Star Trail who can fit into many team compositions with versatility due to his ability to support allies with debuffs and his synergy with DoT teams due to his unique stackable debuff called Ashen Roast. In this regard, he is quite similar to Pela as a debuffer, but also shares some traits with Black Swan due to his stackable debuff/DoT abilities. In addition, Jiaoqiu is a surprisingly good ally for characters like Argenti or Acheron as he can also increase his allies’ ultimate damage.

In terms of his flexibility in teams, Jiaoqiu is also quite flexible when it comes to his cone options. He primarily benefits from effect hit rate, making a wide range of cones viable for him. Depending on whether players are building him as a full support for certain characters or wanting to improve his DoT damage, there are different options to consider. Honkai: Star Trail.

6 Lonely healing

Increases the wearer’s Break effect by 40%. When the wearer unleashes their ultimate, the DoT dealt by the wearer is increased by 48% for 2 turns. When the target suffering from the wearer’s DoT is defeated, 6 energy is regenerated.

While Break Effect isn’t a particularly useful stat for Jiaoqiu, the F2P cone of light Solitary Healing can still be a viable option for him due to its DoT damage buff and ability to generate energy every time an enemy is defeated with DoT. In content like Pure Fiction, players will find this cone of light very useful as it helps Jiaoqiu activate his ultimate more often. However, in other content like Memory of Chaos (MoC), the utility of Solitary Healing is significantly reduced, making it less impactful in those scenarios.

Increases the wearer’s effect hit rate by 40%. When the wearer attacks enemies with reduced DEF, they regenerate 8 energy.

Another useful F2P Cone of Light for Jiaoqiu is Before the Tutorial Mission Begins, especially for players who need a higher hit rate to be able to apply debuffs more consistently. However, to fully benefit from its secondary passive effect, Energy Regeneration, players should pair Jiaoqiu with a teammate like Pela (or Silver Wolf for single-target situations). This is because Jiaoqiu’s Ashen Roast debuff increases the damage enemies take but does not decrease their DEF, which is necessary to trigger the Cone of Light’s full potential.

4 Incessant rain

Increases the wearer’s effect hit rate by 24%. When the wearer damages an enemy that currently has 3 or more debuffs, the wearer’s CRIT rate is increased by 12%. After the wearer uses their base ATK, skill, or ultimate, they have a 100% base chance to implant an Aethercode into a randomly hit target that does not already have it. Targets with Aethercode take 12% more damage for 1 turn.

Silver Wolf’s signature cone of light, Incessant Rain, is also a solid option for Jiaoqiu, particularly because it boosts his effect hit rate, albeit to a lesser extent than some other premium cone of light options. While the increased passive critical hit rate isn’t particularly useful for Jiaoqiu, the cone of light’s ability to apply an additional debuff fits well with his kit. This synergizes effectively with characters like Acheron and helps stack debuffs for her ultimate. In this regard, Incessant Rain is somewhat comparable to Jiaoqiu’s own signature cone of light, Those Many Springs, although it doesn’t offer the same level of functionality or synergy.

Increases the wearer’s effect hit rate by 40% and increases DoT by 48%.

Eyes of Prey is an excellent hybrid option for players looking to boost Jiaoqiu’s effect hit rate while also improving his DoT damage. As one of the few 4-star options that addresses both aspects, it offers a balanced and cost-effective way to optimize Jiaoqiu’s build, especially if players can max it out to Superimposition 5. The main downside to this cone of light is the lack of additional debuffing effects or energy regeneration, which limits its usefulness compared to higher-tier options. However, it remains a solid choice for those prioritizing DoT-focused builds.

2 Reforged memory

Increases the wearer’s hit rate by 40%. When the wearer deals damage to an enemy suffering from Wind Shear, Burn, Shock, or Bleed, they individually gain 1 stack of Prophet. This effect can stack up to 4 times. In a single battle, each type of DoT can only generate 1 stack of Prophet. Each stack of Prophet increases the wearer’s ATK by 5%, and the DoT it inflicts ignores 7.2% of the target’s DEF.

Black Swan’s Cone of Light, Reforged Remembrance, is also quite useful for Jiaoqiu, as it provides a significant bonus to effect hit rate even at its base overlay level. This Cone of Light is particularly useful for increasing Jiaoqiu’s own damage, as it increases his ATK and allows Ashen Roast’s DoT to ignore DEF, making him an ideal choice for players focusing on a DoT-oriented team composition rather than a purely supportive Jiaoqiu build. His ability to boost both his debuffing and damage capabilities makes him a versatile option in various team setups.

Increases hit rate by 60%. After the wearer uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to attack, there is a 60% base chance to inflict Unarmored. While in the Unarmored state, the target takes 10% more damage for 2 turns. When the target is under a DoT inflicted by the wearer, there is a 60% chance to upgrade Unarmored to the Cornered state, increasing the damage the enemy target takes by 14% and lasting for 2 turns. During this time, the wearer cannot inflict Unarmored on the target.

Jiaoqiu’s signature Cone of Light, Those Many Springs, is unsurprisingly the best option for him due to its perfect synergy with his kit. It provides a significant increase to effect hit rate and includes a passive ability that allows Jiaoqiu to apply an additional debuff to enemies, increasing the damage they take. Not only is this Cone of Light ideal for Jiaoqiu, but it is also one of the best options for many Nihility characters who rely on inflicting debuffs to increase the team’s overall damage. While it is an extremely valuable Cone of Light for Jiaoqiu and other debuff-focused characters, it is not essential for low-spending or free-to-play players to use Jiaoqiu effectively. Unlike characters like Boothill who rely heavily on her signature Cone of Light, Jiaoqiu can perform well without it.
