Brockton’s Vietnamese sandwiches hit the streets with an N-Gon food truck

BROCKTON – The wild flavors of Vietnamese herbs and spices are now mobile thanks to the launch of N-Gon Trailer, a new business venture from the popular drive-thru Vietnamese restaurant on Brockton’s east side.

The business is doing something it has never done before, but the owners are excited to show the city of Brockton what the food truck has to offer.

“The sandwiches are now coming to you,” said James Van Lam, co-owner of N-Gon Viet Subs.

Imagine hosting a party and having a food truck drive up to your house and serve delicious meals to the party guests without you having to do any cleanup. It sounds like a dream come true.

Now all your favorites are going on tour and conquering the surrounding cities with their hearty dishes, crispy bánh mì and fresh smoothies.

What’s on the menu?

Bánh mì is a traditional Vietnamese sandwich made from airy, crispy bread with meat and pickled side dishes.

The food truck offers a limited selection of rice and chicken sandwiches, salads, smoothies and fried spring rolls.

Customers can book the trailer for private events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings or other special occasions.

A permanent location where people can purchase the food is still in the works, and following the owners’ social media accounts will keep them updated on progress and upcoming events.

Particularly noteworthy are the tofu sandwiches with the creamy aioli sauce, which is prepared fresh in-house every day.

“You won’t find this taste anywhere else. It’s our creative recipe,” Lam said.

The owner knows he has something “special” hidden in Brockton, so he spreads his culture and keeps family recipes alive.

Lam wants to think outside the box with his food truck to provide his customers with the ultimate culinary experience.

“Our flavor palette is unique. No one has that taste. It may taste similar, but ours has a more unique taste. In my opinion, we have taken the traditional sandwich flavors and perfected them,” said Lam.

The company’s ultimate goal is to expand and one day become a national grocery chain.
