Buffalo’s Black Restaurant Week is back

In case you haven’t noticed, Buffalo is a city that has a problem when it comes to food and sports. So much so that Buffalo hosts one of the best food festivals in the world.

With summer coming to an end next week, we need to get back to one of the things the folks at 716 do best – and that has to do with food and drink, of course. One of the most eagerly awaited summer restaurant activities is returning in 2024, and we’re sure you’ll be left with good feelings and a full stomach.

Black Restaurant Week 716 is here for It is the seventh year and we have the list of all participating restaurants this incredible event.

What is Black Restaurant Week 716?

Presented by the Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals, a nonprofit group dedicated to promoting community, diversity and entrepreneurship in Buffalo and Western New York, Black Restaurant Week aims to shine a spotlight on minority-owned restaurants and other food service establishments you might not normally hear about. This year’s events feature multiple restaurants, food trucks and catering services from around 716 countries, and the vast majority of meal options cost just $20.24.

Black Restaurant Week typically takes place in late June, but the event has been moved to August to synergize with Black Business Month. Fun activities will begin on Friday, August 23, 2024 and run through Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Which restaurants are participating this year?

Dozens of catering services, food trucks, restaurants and other vendors have signed up to participate in this year’s Black Restaurant Week 716, with more joining daily.

2024 Hood Taste of Buffalo

On Saturday, August 3, 2024 and Sunday, August 4, 2024, hundreds of Buffalonians flocked to the Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion for the 5th Annual Hood Taste of Buffalo. This year’s festival featured over 150 vendors offering samples of Buffalo’s Eastside.
