She became the fastest player in WNBA history to make 100 three-pointers in a season. She had 10 rebounds and 10 assists, her second career triple-double. When Clark recovered a late miss from Kia Nurse, the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse erupted in cheers.

“Of course I knew, but honestly we were just trying to get stops,” she said.

Aliyah Boston, also a star for the Fever, contributed 24 points, 14 rebounds and four assists to the win. Kelsey Mitchell had 18 points.

The Fever have a 18-16 record this season, putting them firmly in the postseason race after starting the year 1-8. Since returning from the Olympics, the Fever have a 7-1 record, with their only loss coming against the Minnesota Lynx.

“It’s definitely cool,” Clark said before the game against Sparks, where the playoffs were at stake. “For us, it doesn’t even have to be last-minute, and I think that’s something special. You can just relax, play basketball and have a lot of fun. Yes, we did that, but there’s so much more that can be done.”

Erica Wheeler explained that there is still more work for the team to do.

“The work is not done yet,” Wheeler said. “We still have six, seven games left and we can’t think that far ahead. As an experienced player, I know that very well. So for me, it’s not time to think about the playoffs. There are still seven games left.”
