Campbell Soup Co. sells Pop Secret to Our Home

Campbell Soup Co. has completed the sale of its Pop Secret popcorn business to snack company Our Home, which owns brands such as Popchips, Food Should Taste Good and other snack brands. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Pop Secret generated net sales of approximately $120 million in fiscal 2024, Campbell’s announcement said, and Chris Foley, executive vice president and president of Campbell’s Snacks, said the move was another step “to strategically focus our snack portfolio.”

For Our Home, this move represents a scaling of the company’s existing platform and presence in the U.S. With Pop Secret, the company is expanding into the microwave popcorn category, which, according to Aaron Greenwald, founder and CEO of Our Home, will strengthen the company’s position in the snack space.

This is the fourth major acquisition for Our Home this calendar year. In January, the company announced the purchase of the RW Garcia and Good Health brands and two manufacturing facilities from Utz Brands. A few months later, Our Home bought two more snack factories from Utz and acquired the Sonoma Creamery business in May.

Pop Secret adds nearly 40 years of history and innovation to the Our Home portfolio, the company says, with a focus on authentic, real butter flavors and creating healthy snacks combined with taste.

To put this in perspective, in less than a year, Our Home will have doubled its roster of brands (once the Pop Secret deal closes). The new popcorn brand joins Our Home’s family of brands, which includes Food Should Taste Good, Popchips, Real Food From The Ground Up, You Need This, RW Garcia, Good Health and Sonoma Creamery, among others.
