Céline Dion’s management condemns use of “My Heart Will Go On” by Trump campaign

An election year means rallies, and rallies mean music, and music usually means artists complaining about candidates using their songs without permission. On August 10, an artist issued a statement criticizing a candidate’s use of her signature song – even though she is Canadian and not allowed to vote in the election.

A message on Celine DionOn Saturday’s Instagram it says: “TToday, Céline Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized use of the video, recording, musical performance and image of Céline Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at a Donald Trump/JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.”

“This use is in no way authorized and Céline Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” the statement continued.

The statement ended with a hint of shade that should not be underestimated: “… And really, THIS song?”

If you want to see Celine perform “My Heart Will Go On” somewhere other than a Trump/Vance rally, she is compiled a new YouTube playlist of all their greatest live performances over the years, including their 2017 Performance for the 20th anniversary the Titanic Topic at the ^ “The Billboard Music Awards”.
