Chic-fil-A Fast Food Restaurant Launches New Streaming Service

Fast food features are coming to your TV at home. It has been announced that the fast food restaurant specializing in chicken Chic-fil-A launches a series of original shows for its own streaming service Rumours say that the market launch will take place later this year.




According to Deadline, the restaurant is reportedly working with a number of established production companies to create family-friendly scripted and unscripted content for their own streaming platform. These companies include Glassman Media, which was responsible for The wall on NBC and Sugar23, which is involved in the production of series such as the controversial Netflix series Dead girls don’t lie. The former has been hired to create a family-friendly game show, while the latter has received a ten-episode series order. Budgets for the unscripted shows are rumored to be around $400,000 per half hour, and Brian Gibson, producer of the limited series The Kennedys and Fox’s The x-factoris responsible for programming.

Chic-Fil-A follows a new trend

Chic-fil-A follows in the footsteps of other entertainment companies entering the streaming world. In 2023, ride-sharing company Lyft launched the quiz game show, Happy Lyft, on their website and YouTube channel. The show featured Bob the Drag Queen and contestants had to answer trivia questions to win money and a Lyft ride at the same time. In 2019, Airbnb produced the documentary Gay choir Deep Southwhich aired on MTV. The documentary follows the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus on their tour through America’s Deep South following the 2016 election and the government’s enforcement of numerous anti-LGBTQ laws.

However, Chic-fil-A is no stranger to creating original content, having created several short films for their website in the past, including the annual animated series Stories from Evergreen HillsThe fast-food giant, whose revenue is estimated to reach $21.6 billion in 2023, has also ventured into other media, developing video games and puzzles for children under its Pennycake brand.
