The Kansas City Chiefs, freshly crowned winners of Super Bowl LVII, are going into the new season as clear favorites. On Saturday, August 17, they will face the Detroit Lions in an NFL preseason game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Led by two-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ high-powered offense is ready to shred defenses. Despite initial concerns about the defensive line, their wide receiver corps, although weakened by the departure of Tyreek Hill, remains impressive under Andy Reid’s leadership.
The Detroit Lions strengthened their offense in the offseason by signing running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs as well as tight end Sam LaPorta.
