CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Home and Garden Show will not take place in 2025 after organizers said they were unable to find a new venue for the event while the Duke Energy Convention Center is closed for renovations.

Organizers announced Thursday that the show will return in 2026 if the Duke Energy Convention Center has space. It will then run from February 20 to February 22 and again from February 27 to March 1.

The convention center closed in May and will remain closed for renovations for about 18 months. Since announcing the impending closure, organizers of the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show said they have been working to find an alternative venue for the two-weekend show.

The show itself has complicated spatial and logistical requirements that cannot be met elsewhere in Cincinnati, organizers said.

“After an extensive search, we ultimately concluded that alternative venues did not provide adequate space or suitable dates for a two-week show,” said Tom Baugh, vice president of Marketplace Events, in a press release. “This led to our decision to wait until we could produce the high-quality show that the Greater Cincinnati community knows and expects. We look forward to hosting a wonderful show in 2026.”

Exhibitors who were already registered for the 2025 trade fair will automatically be transferred and confirmed for participation in the 2026 trade fair.

Another Marketplace Events event, the Greater Cincinnati Holiday Market, will go ahead as planned. It will be temporarily held at the Sharonville Convention Center from November 8-10.
