The City Food Hall is scheduled to open late next month and will bring new dining concepts to Ivanhoe Village.

The City Food Hall store is scheduled to open at 1412 Alden Road and will be in the same location previously occupied by Hall on the Yard.

The two-story space will house three restaurants curated by Danilo’s Pasta Bar chef DJ Tagalin in collaboration with Soseki’s Michael Collantes: Chez Les Copains, a classic French brasserie; Asin, a Filipino chef’s tasting counter; and a reimagined version of Collantes’ Taglish, which will feature a new menu overseen by Tagalin.

Other providers include Ramen Takagi and EggDose.

The Hall on the Yard food hall in Ivanhoe Village closed this spring after a legal dispute with the landlord over unpaid rent, court records show. According to the documents, the Hall on the Yard owed nearly $250,000 in unpaid rent.

According to Ivanhoe Place Propco’s lawsuit, Hall on the Yard’s parent company filed for bankruptcy in July 2023. It was supposed to continue paying rent, which, according to the documents, did not happen even after reminders were served.

The space housed nine food stalls, five event rooms and three premium cocktail bars.
