CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans are 2-0 after defeating Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears 19-13 on Sunday.
Stroud had another strong game in the win, throwing for 260 passing yards and scoring a touchdown on 23 of 36 passes. He paired well with wide receiver Nico Collins, who had 135 receiving yards and a touchdown, reaching the 100 mark in two consecutive games to start the season.
After a phenomenal rookie year, Stroud continued to impress in his sophomore year and the quarterback once again earned rave reviews from NFL fans.
While a young quarterback continued to show promise and Stroud wowed the fans, the opposing young quarterback struggled. In his second game, Williams managed 174 passing yards and two interceptions on 23 of 37 passes, which was certainly a game to forget in his second NFL game.
It wasn’t Williams’ fault alone, as his offensive line allowed him to take seven sacks and a total of eleven hits and applied a lot of pressure, which led to the interceptions.
While there were concerns about Williams’ play, there was overall concern about the state of the Bears’ offensive line.

Williams is just two games into his NFL career and still has a lot of development to do, but an offensive line that allows him to get hit on seemingly every play isn’t going to make things any easier.
If the Bears want Williams to develop into the franchise quarterback they expect him to be, getting an offensive line that protects him and gives him time to pass the ball is crucial.
