Cost of living: The most expensive rental apartments in Adelaide

Cost of living: The most expensive rental apartments in Adelaide

Would you be willing to pay $130,000 to live in a luxury beachfront home for a year?

That’s how much it would cost to rent Adelaide’s most expensive residential property – a unit in Henley Beach on the Esplanade, which is on offer for $2,500 a week.

This hefty sum is, on average, $1,608 higher than the weekly mortgage fees Australians pay on a loan of $626,055.

It’s also a far cry from the city’s average rent, which is $580 a week for a house and $490 for an apartment.

While some would consider the average values expensive, they pale in comparison to the rental prices charged for some properties in Adelaide.

Here’s a look at the city’s most expensive properties available for rent on realestate.com.au.
