We know for sure that the upcoming Scream 7 The focus is on the return of Neve Campbell like Sidney Prescott, but is Courtney Cox also return to the franchise?

We heard in March that Cox was in talks to join the cast of Scream 7but the actress reveals in a new update this week that she has not officially signed at this time.

“I am not officially registered with”, Cox tells Variety. “It’s not me, but it will be a Scream 7.”

Courteney Cox adds in the same chat, “They’re constantly rewriting,” suggesting that her character’s involvement is unclear and uncertain at the moment. Stay tuned for more.

Cox’s Gale Weathers has been part of the franchise since the beginning, with Cox playing the main role in every single installment of the franchise so far. While Dewey Riley was killed in the fifth installment, Gale simply continues to survive and finally overcame all adversities in Scream VIHow many more massacres can Gale survive? The franchise has been mired in controversy in recent months, with new series leaders Melissa Barrera And Jenna Ortega both left the project. Original Scream Writer Kevin Williamson will lead Scream 7. The film, which currently has no title, was written by Guy Busick based on a story by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
