The Cleveland Browns put in a forgettable performance at the start of the season, losing 33-17 to the Dallas Cowboys at Huntington Banks Field.

Cleveland’s poor offensive performance was highlighted by their quarterback Deshaun Watson, who completed 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown.

Still, Watson made several mistakes, threw two interceptions, and was sacked six times for 32 yards that afternoon.

After the team’s loss on Sunday, analyst Dan Orlovsky had a message for the Browns: He spoke out against Watson continuing to play at that position.

Orlovsky shared his message about Cleveland’s current quarterback situation on X – the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“I would think long and hard about Jameis (Winston),” Orlovsky wrote in his social media post.

The Browns signed Winston in the offseason as a backup after Watson was injured several times last season, including a season-ending shoulder injury.

Overall, Watson only played in six games in 2023, achieving a record of 5-1.

Winston was a solid backup option as the former NFL starter was looking for a new home after nine years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.

Watson was not solely responsible for his poor performance, as the quarterback had a piecemeal line to perform behind since neither Jedrick Wills nor Jack Conklin were active in this contest.

The wide receivers were also to blame as the unit failed to capitalize on its opportunities, including the second interception of the game, which went to Elijah Moore.
