Participation in “Dancing With the Stars” is not the only appearance that Anna Delvey has signed up for.

Anna Sorokin, who was born in Russia and raised in Germany, was dubbed the “fake heiress” in 2017. She was found guilty on eight counts, including attempted first-degree grand larceny and theft of services. Delvey had posed as a well-connected, wealthy German heiress and swindled more than $275,000 in luxury goods, including private jet services and luxury hotel stays.

After being released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody more than three years ago, the 33-year-old was placed under house arrest last year. Her rise and fall were the subject of the Netflix series “Inventing Anna.” Delvey, whose court clothes from major designer labels and fast fashion have attracted much attention, has always been unashamed in her love of fashion.

Now she’ll walk the runway at the Shao New York show on September 10. Delvey is already involved with the New York-based designer’s company, as the pop-up agency Outlaw Agency, which she founded with People’s Revolution founder Kelly Cutrone, hosted the Shao show last fall. Still under house arrest at the time, Delvey hosted Shao Yang’s first fashion show on the roof of her East Village apartment.

During the current edition of New York Fashion Week, Shao New York will be one of the fashion shows taking place at the Altman Building thanks to the Outlaw Agency and Pornhub. Private Policy New York and Untitled&Co. are the other shows on the calendar. All three have received backstage support from Ted Gibson, Kabuki NYC, MAC Cosmetics and Patti Yankee. Delvey’s “DWTS” partner Esra Soza will walk the runway for Untitled&Co.

Next week, Delvey has also signed up for a panel discussion with Stormy Daniels, Nimay Ndolo and Elizabeth Nolan Brown on “Digital Future: Security, Privacy and Expression Online.” Daniels, a porn actor, testified in his hush money trial against former President Donald Trump earlier this year. Ndolo is a software developer and content creator and Brown is a senior editor at Reason magazine. Her discussion with Delvey, presented as part of Terms of Service, will be recorded live at NeueHouse Madison Square for the second season of the Terms of Service podcast.

In an interview with WWD in June, Delvey said she was trying to move away from the fake heiress story and highlight what had happened since her release from prison. Delvey has represented Shao New York in other ways, too, wearing custom designs by Yang to court appearances last summer. In June, Delvey and the designer created a double-breasted Italian silk and wool-blend dress with a bow. Her ankle bracelet was personalized with a Swarovski crystal letter “A” (as in “Anna” and “Ankle,” and as a nod to Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “The Scarlet Letter”). The $2,950 custom dress and $495 bow were available for preorder at the time. And the matching bow was $495. A $2,050 version with a $195 bow was also made from less expensive fabrics.

Delvey told WWD in June: “The outfits we choose are very court-appropriate. I don’t show up looking like an exotic dancer. I don’t think women should be seen as superficial and attention-seeking just because they choose nice clothes.”
