Davante Adams is not unhappy with the Las Vegas Raiders, at least that’s what he says himself.

“Whatever you see, unless it’s firsthand, it’s probably nonsense,” he told reporters Wednesday. “… Whatever has come out recently has been complete nonsense. … That I’m upset or uncomfortable in this organization is just nonsense designed to upset everyone. … If I was mad, I wouldn’t be here.”

Adams also feuded with former NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

“I’ve probably talked to DeSean Jackson three or four times in my life, and I’ve never had a conversation with him,” he said. “I blame that on my kids. I’ve never talked to him about anything. The only person I really talk to about my feelings in general is my wife, and she doesn’t let anything leak out.”

The comments come after Jackson The Herd with Colin Cowherd (h/t Michael Canelo from Sports illustrated) and said Adams was not happy in Las Vegas.

“It’s difficult because Davante and I talked, and I hate doing that because I don’t want to be the guy that says, ‘Oh, D-Jax said this and that,’ but at the end of the day, he’s not happy,” Jackson said. “I mean, you come from Aaron Rodgers, then you come to the Las Vegas Raiders and you have not only Jimmy G (Garoppolo), but you have your boy (Derek) Carr. It didn’t work out the way you thought it would in the days at Fresno State. … It just didn’t work out. So now I just don’t think he’s really happy there.”

Rumors about Adams and the Raiders are nothing new, but he stressed that he is happy with the AFC West team.

He signed a contract in Las Vegas through the 2026 season and led the league with 14 touchdown catches in his first season with the team in 2022. Although he slowed down a bit last year, he was still among the league’s best with 103 catches for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.

It’s easy for fans and commentators to speculate about Adams since he began his career by being thrown the ball to by future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers.

The Raiders this year are starting Gardner Minshew II after he won a quarterback competition against Aidan O’Connell, who isn’t exactly Rodgers.

Nevertheless, Adams stressed that he is not unhappy and is ready to start the season on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
