The Marvel Cinematic Universe shows no signs of slowing down, constantly releasing new content in theaters and streaming with a Disney+ subscription. While there is no shortage of stories to follow, some stand out as fan favorites. Fans who have watched the Marvel movies in order know that James Gunn’s most important film Guardians of the Galaxy Franchise that Volume 3. Drax actor Dave Bautista is ready for a Guardian See you again, but not where you would expect.

The end of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 offered a happy ending for the beloved cosmic heroes and it’s unclear if we’ll ever see most of the characters again. Dave Bautista said goodbye to Drax after the conclusion of the third installment and spoke about wanting to work with the cast again in a recent conversation with ComicBook. In his words:

That’s pretty much my goal. I really want to because I’ve done another project outside of Guardians with Karen Gillan and now I’ve worked with Pom. I’d also love to work with Chris and Zoe outside of the Marvel universe.

Honestly, take my money now. The Guardian The cast has excellent chemistry and it would be fun to see them back on the big screen in a film outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although fans are no doubt still hoping to see the team back together in an upcoming Marvel film.

Since James Gunn is the new co-CEO of the DCU, he is not expected to return to the MCU anytime soon. After all, what is the Guardian Franchise without his vision? Some moviegoers would like to see the cast reunited in a DC project, with Gunn once again behind the camera. In the same interview, Bautista addressed this possibility, saying:

Yes, of course. As I said, and I was very open to it. I think it just has to be the right role. But I’m very open to it, and I love James and would do anything to work with him.

This comment is sure to please comic fans, and it is safe to assume that it will inspire some fan theories about who the Guardians of the Galaxy The cast could play if they joined the DC Universe. Chris Pratt, for his part, believes he could appear in the DCU and MCU simultaneously.

Dave Bautista seems happy with a break from Drax’s intense makeup, and there are a number of characters fans would love to see him play if he moves to DC. He has responded to Bane rumors, but he has expressed interest in giving Lex Luthor his own version. Hopefully he gets a role in the DCU sooner rather than later, preferably alongside some of his Guardian buddies.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Franchise is now streaming on Disney+ and the MCU will return to theaters with Captain America: Brave New World on February 14th. Check out the movie release dates for 2025 now.
