Guitarist of the Foo Fighters Dave Grohl has admitted to cheating on his wife and having a child outside of his marriage.
“I recently became a father to a daughter born outside of my marriage,” Grohl, 55, shared via Instagram on Tuesday, September 10. “I plan to be a loving and supportive father to her. I love my wife and children and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Grohl is married to his wife, Jordyn Blumsince 2003. They have three daughters together: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
“We are grateful for your consideration for all the children affected as we move forward,” Grohl concluded his statement.

While 48-year-old Blum has largely withdrawn from the limelight in recent years, her husband has occasionally spoken about his family in interviews.
In a chat in 2007 with The GuardianGrohl described Blum and his eldest daughter as “anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.”
Two years later, he explained how fatherhood changed his attitude toward touring and working nonstop with the Foo Fighters.
“I used to be on tour nine months a year. Now I don’t like being away from my children for more than 12 days,” he said. Time“It’s changed everything I do. When you have kids, you see life differently. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that will find its way into songwriting.”
Grohl repeated this opinion in a 2007 interview with People when he talks about his new reality as a father.
“We don’t talk about how much we drank last night anymore,” he said of his band. “(Now) it’s about how much we slept, how much the baby slept, diaper rash, baby formula. … I realized that the life I always thought would start with the band breaking up has to start now.”

In 2023, Blum made a rare public appearance with Grohl and their three daughters at the Grammy Awards. During the star-studded show, the family of five posed for photos together on the red carpet in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Blum and Grohl attended a Wimbledon tennis tournament in London in July.
As for the Foo Fighters’ tour schedule, there are no shows planned other than an appearance at the Soundside Music Festival in Connecticut on September 29th.
