Deadline for College Station and Bryan City Council and School Board elections approaches – WTAW

The deadline to file papers for the November College Station and Bryan City Council and School Board elections is approaching.

As of Thursday, August 15, 12:00 noon.

There are two contested races for the College Station City Council seat.

David White and Valen Cepak are running for the third seat. Linda Harvell is not eligible to run for the third seat again due to term limits.

Aron Collins is fighting for fourth place.

In fifth place, incumbent Bob Yancy is running for re-election.

Tre Watson and Craig Regan are running for the sixth seat. Dennis Maloney is not eligible to run for re-election for the sixth seat due to term limits.

All four incumbent Bryan City Council members have filed for re-election.

There is a contested election. Shane Savage has applied for the seat in single-member constituency 4, which is currently held by James Edge, who had previously stood for re-election.

Jared Salvato has filed for single-member constituency three.

Marca Ewers-Shurtleff has applied for the single-member constituency five.

Kevin Boriskie has applied for the citywide position.

One person has filed to run for College Station ISD school board.

Darin Paine is seeking his second term as an at-large member of the first Parliament.

Kristin Wilson has applied for second place.

Two people have filed to run for Bryan ISD school board.

David Stennis has filed for the district-level seat.

Ruthie Waller is seeking her fourth term representing BISD’s fourth single-member constituency.

The registration deadline is August 19th.
