Dearborn police ask for help identifying masked men who robbed jewelry store at gunpoint

DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn Police are asking for help in identifying two masked men involved in an armed robbery.

The robbery occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday (August 7) ​​on the city’s east side in the 7000 block of Schaefer Road.

Officers’ investigations revealed that two masked men with a gun entered the store and ordered employees and customers to lie on the floor.

According to police, one of the men threatened everyone with a gun while the other ransacked the store and packed several items into a bag.

Officials said the men left the store after an employee fired several shots at them and fled the scene in a black sedan, possibly a 2011-2013 Mazda 3, with paint peeling off the vehicle’s hood and trunk.

According to police, neither customers nor employees were injured in the incident. It is not known whether the men were injured.
