Defenders of the Las Vegas Raiders led them to victory over the Baltimore Ravens

The Las Vegas Raiders celebrated their first win of the season, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 26-23.

The Raiders were ten points behind in the fourth quarter, but gave it their all and made one winning play after another, so that Daniel Carlson was finally able to kick the decisive field goal.

It wasn’t a perfect game for coach Antonio Pierce’s team, but they did just enough to pull off the comeback and give him his first win as full-time head coach of the Silver and Black.

One of the main reasons why the Raiders were able to win the game was the play of their defense, more specifically some of their defensive players: linebacker Robert Spillane and defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Spillane finished the day with 10 tackles and a key interception in the third quarter. Lamar Jackson threw to Rashod Bateman, but Jakorian Bennett knocked the ball into the air and Spillane grabbed it. The Raiders then stormed down the field and scored a touchdown to cut the deficit.

Spillane is the Raiders’ middle linebacker and primary communicator. It’s up to him to put the defense in the right position, and he did that consistently on Sunday. Spillane has been an absolute steal for the Raiders in his two seasons in Las Vegas, and if he keeps it up, he could be in for a big payday.

Crosby was outstanding as always, recording six tackles, four for loss, a pass defensed and two sacks. His second sack came late in the fourth quarter when he stumbled inside and slammed Jackson backwards for a loss of nine yards.

If the robber They’re trailing late in the game and need defenders to make big stops, and that’s when they’ll bring in these two stars. Although the team didn’t play their best game, their best defenders and emotional leaders came through.

The Raiders want to make the playoffs and this is a step in the right direction. They will continue to rely on these two to make more defensive plays and help the Raiders win football games.

The Raiders have home advantage next week and will face the Carolina Panthers.
