Demi Moore humorously revealed the reason for her single status on Monday while promoting “The Substance” on NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The 61-year-old actress looked radiant in her sleeveless pink dress and gushed about her little canine companion Pilaf, calling her a “magical creature.”
Demi proudly revealed that Pilaf recently graced the cover of Dogue magazine and explained how it came about.
“Vogue did ‘Dogue Days of Summer’ and of course she had to be positioned as a cover girl,” Demi said.
Jimmy, 49, shared a sweet clip of Demi’s dogs waiting for her to come home and asked Demi if she slept with her dogs.

“If anyone saw my nighttime behavior if it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I really am,” she admitted. “I have to arrange pillows so that the pillows of this size fit under the covers. I have two beds for the little ones so they have the bed in the bed.”
“Okay, I sleep with dogs,” Demi admitted.

The audience laughed as Demi described her routine and Jimmy noticed that she cares about them.
“That’s why I’m single,” Demi joked.
Demi was previously married to Freddy Moore from 1981 to 1985 and to Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000. She married Ashton Kutcher in 2005 and they divorced in 2013.
She also had a high-profile engagement to Emilio Estevez and an affair with Jon Cryer in the 1980s.
Jimmy noted that critics have praised Demi’s performance in “The Substance” as the best of her long and illustrious career.

“I’m really proud of my work in it,” Demi said of the film, which also stars Dakota Fanning and Dennis Quaid.
“The Substance” will be released in theaters in the US and UK on September 20th.
In “The Substance,” Demi plays Elisabeth Sparkle, the star of a popular aerobics show.
She was extremely successful for decades, but on her 50th birthday the icon suffered a devastating blow when her boss fired her.
In the midst of her distress, a laboratory offers her a substance that will transform her into an improved version of herself. However, it is an experimental procedure.
“This is a unique and unconventional way to address the issue of aging,” Demi said.
