Democrats donate to Salvation Army food bank in Wellsville

Belmont, NY – Today, volunteers from the Allegany County Democratic Committee distributed more than a dozen bags of non-perishable food and personal care items collected at their recent Coffee with Democrats event. This service project is one of the ways the Democratic Committee lives out its motto, “We Serve Our Community.”

The Salvation Army began operations in Wellsville in 1906 and serves an average of 550-600 people each month. The pantry is located at 25 East Pearl St., Wellsville and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The organization is open for worship on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, call 585-593-2640.
