Diddy previously thought he would be arrested for his partying

Decades before he was charged with sex trafficking and organized crime, SeanDiddy“ combs predicted that he would get into trouble with the law.

“They’ll probably arrest me and do all kinds of crazy things just because we want to have fun,” said Diddy, now 54, Entertainment tonight in 1999. “When you bring a different element into people’s environment, things that broaden people’s horizons, people feel intimidated. A lot of people out there feel intimidated by that.”

Diddy was arrested earlier this month and must remain at the Metropolitan Detention Center pending trial. He has been denied bail twice.

A day after his arrest, a 14-page indictment was released. According to court documents
Diddy was accused of abusing, threatening and coercing women and others around him to “fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and cover up his behavior.” He pleaded not guilty.

Celebrities are speaking out about the recent arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs. The music mogul was taken into custody in New York on September 16. The following day, a 14-page indictment was released alleging that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others in his circle.” The rapper has since pleaded not guilty (…)

“We are disappointed by the U.S. Attorney’s decision to continue what we believe is an unjustified prosecution of Mr. Combs,” Diddy’s attorney said Marc Agnifilo told We weekly after the arrest. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, a self-made entrepreneur, a loving family man and a proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and advocating for the advancement of the black community.”

Agnifilo continued, “He is an imperfect human being, but he is not a criminal. To Mr. Combs’ credit, he has been consistently cooperative with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve judgment until you know all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man who has nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

The latest arrest came after Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie accused him of misconduct after he was named in a sexual assault lawsuit. The matter was settled out of court within a day. Since Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura), several others have come forward with similar allegations against Diddy. He has denied all allegations.

The Department of Homeland Security raided two of his homes in March. “Yesterday, there was a massive use of military force when search warrants were executed on Mr. Combs’ residences,” Diddy’s attorney said. Aaron Dyer told Us in a statement at the time. “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility by the authorities or the way his children and staff were treated.”
