Dinamo Zagreb coach: Bayern Munich was on a different level

Sometimes the better team simply gains momentum in a game and uses it to overwhelm their opponents. Bayern Munich’s incredible 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb clearly demonstrated the fickleness and usefulness of momentum, as a sudden loss of momentum saw Bayern almost surrender a 3-goal lead in a matter of minutes before riding a wave to eventually reach the final score of 9-2.

On the official website of FC Bayern, Zagreb coach Sergej Jakirović described the events: “It was a difficult evening for us. Bayern plays in a different league. We didn’t play well in the first half and Bayern didn’t allow much. After the break we reduced the deficit to 3:2 and had the chance to equalize. However, we were physically inferior and Bayern recognized the spaces. We were punished for every mistake. That is a lesson for us. Bayern were at the top level. Congratulations on the win.”

After this successful performance, Bayern can now sit back and relax and enjoy the significant victory.
