Dinamo Zagreb vs Bayern Munich: Live stream, match times thread, how to watch

One hour left until kick-off: We have the lineups! It looks like Vincent Kompany has decided to send Palhinha back to the bench and NOT use Joshua Kimmich at right-back. Instead, Guerreiro seems to be stepping in there, while the rest of the XI remains largely unchanged. Michael Olise makes his Champions League debut for Bayern Munich in place of Kingsley Coman on the wing.

Bayern Munich have not lost a UEFA Champions League group since 2017, but this is no longer the group stage. The newly christened ‘league stage’ of the revamped UCL format will see the club compete against a larger number of teams from different nations, including some of the favourites to win the competition.

Although it is his first season in the Champions League, Vincent Kompany will be under intense scrutiny. Dinamo Zagreb are not exactly one of Europe’s heavyweights, but they have nevertheless qualified for the highest European level. They cannot be taken for granted.

The aim will be to finish in the top eight. Kompany has a good squad at his disposal, even with the injury crisis at right back. You can’t really complain when you have players like Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, a seemingly rejuvenated Serge Gnabry, João Palhinha, Aleksandar Pavlović, Joshua Kimmich and others.

It’s Bavaria time.
