DineDrinkCLE talks about marijuana edibles, foraging in Northeast Ohio and Little Debbie’s snack rankings

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The advent of recreational marijuana sales in Ohio felt like a new era for the greater Cleveland area. In addition to smoking legal weed, several varieties of marijuana-infused edibles are available for foodies looking to indulge.

In the latest episode of DineDrinkCLE: The Podcast, host Alex Darus chats with Peter Chakerian about the wide variety of marijuana edibles available in Northeast Ohio. The offerings go well beyond THC-infused gummies and chocolate. Olive oils, honey, sugar, beverages and more are all available in edible form, and the two discuss how the products could impact the Greater Cleveland culinary scene.

Paris Wolfe then joins the show to talk about foraging. From berries to mushrooms, Wolfe has personal experience foraging in Northeast Ohio and offers tips for anyone who wants to try it.

She also talks about a guided food gathering event she attended with Chef Jeremy Umansky of Larder Delicatessen, and future events for anyone who wants to gather their own food.

Chakerian is back on the show to explain how he and his partner on Best Of Cleveland, Yadi Rodriguez, rated 38 different snacks from Little Debbie’s. Chakerian talks about some of the worst bites the two have tried and some surprising new favorites from the nostalgic brand.
