Dozens of teenagers loot 7-Eleven in Los Angeles

A large group of youths used “physical violence” to loot a 7-Eleven store in Los Angeles on Friday evening, authorities said.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman confirmed to KTLA that about 50 youths raided the 7-Eleven at the corner of Olympic and La Cienega Boulevard in Pico-Robertson at 7:50 p.m.

The youths, many of whom were wearing masks, violently stole goods from the store, the spokesman said.

A video posted on the Citizen app shows police officers rushing to the store, where displays had been knocked over and products scattered across the floor, including hot food, sunglasses, car products and even an opened liter of milk.

Surveillance footage obtained by KTLA shows several teenagers jumping over the counter and grabbing a handful of products.

The chaos extended outside as well: boxes of candy, a crate of water, Styrofoam cups and other items were scattered across the parking lot.
