Duck Donuts opens its first Wisconsin store in Madison on Saturday

MADISON, Wisconsin – A delicious piece of North Carolina’s Outer Banks has found its way to Wisconsin.

Duck Donuts will open its first Badger State store on Saturday, August 17, at 3308 University Avenue in Madison.

The store will be operated by a local owner and will offer the full line of food, beverages and other products that characterize the brand. The Madison location will also reflect the recently announced store redesign that the company unveiled. The store was designed to visually enhance the customer experience while modernizing the franchise’s iconic beach theme and family-friendly atmosphere.

Duck Donuts specializes in made-to-order donuts. Customers have the opportunity to create their own donut combination by choosing from a variety of coatings, toppings and decorations. Current favorites include chocolate frosting with sprinkles and maple frosting with bacon.

The shops have a viewing area where children and adults can watch the donuts being made.

To celebrate the grand opening, the first guest on Saturday will receive a dozen free doughnuts per month for a year. The next 50 guests will receive the Sprinkling Happiness Package: two dozen doughnuts and a bucket of coffee for a future visit.

The Duck Donuts Madison location is open 7 days a week: Sunday-Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Duck Donuts opened its first stores in 2007 in the North Carolina beach towns of Duck and Kitty Hawk.
