Dungeonborne: Best Set Bonuses, Ranked

Dungeonborne: Best Set Bonuses, Ranked

Dungeonborne is an enormously complex game, and it gets even more complex in the later stages of the game. To survive the toughest monsters of the corrupted dungeons, as well as the attacks of enemy players, players must get the best possible set bonuses out of the equipment they equip.

However, it can be difficult to figure out which sets are best suited to your preferred playstyle, especially when there is little information available about their effects and activation conditions. This list contains the best set bonuses ranked, along with a list of their effects, activation conditions, and precise information on how to take advantage of their benefits.

Dungeonborne: Best Enchantments

Enchantments are modifications that Dungeonborne players can apply to heirlooms. Here are the best ones available in the game.

9 Little agony

Little agony

  • Advantages: Additional damage.
  • Disadvantages: Only useful in the early game.
  • Suitable for: Harassing AoE combinations.

Tiny Torment is arguably the least useful of all the set bonuses. It’s good to have in the early stages, but as players level up (both character and gear), there are many stronger effects they need to survive. Higher difficulty enemies in PvE require the best gear to defeat.

Tier 1 of Tiny Torment activates when 6 fixed charges are acquired. The only fixed effect activates when direct, unblocked damage is dealt to a target (either the player or an NPC). The target gains 3 points of absolute damage every 0.5 seconds for 5 seconds as damage over time. This effect has a cooldown of 15 seconds on the same target, meaning it can be activated on multiple targets at once, but it cannot be applied again until 15 seconds have passed.

8 Drunken Alchemist

Unreliable, can only be used in certain situations

Swordmaster Sword Attack 4 PvE

  • Advantages: Can save players in an emergency.
  • Disadvantages: Can give the enemy an advantage when players attack from a distance.
  • Suitable for: Situational, lucky players.

This bonus requires 15 set charges to activate, and honestly, it couldn’t get any worse. Not only is it expensive, it’s on par with the cost of more useful set bonuses. Its effect is also unreliable and situational.

The only level of the Drunk Alchemist bonus set causes the following effects. When the user deals unblocked direct damage to opposing players outside of combat, they gain a random potion effect. If the damage is dealt at a distance, there is a chance that the player will apply a random flask effect to the target instead. This effect can trigger once every 30 seconds.

7 Midas touch

Midas Touch Dungeonborne

  • Advantages: Earn gold quickly.
  • Disadvantages: No further effects.
  • Suitable for: Agricultural currency.

The Midas Touch Set is the best way to earn extra gold, which is a highly sought-after resource in the endgame. By killing monsters, opening chests, and safely mining gold, players can loot tons of gold. Each time they mine gold, this passive income can accumulate in a fantastic snowball effect.

Dungeonborne: Best PvP Classes, Ranked

Players looking to delve into the PvP aspect of Dungeonborne should consider the following classes.

Level 1 places 30 coins in the inventory after a target is killed (activates when players have 3 charges of the set). Level 2 grants players 60 coins when they open their first chest on the map (this effect activates when 6 charges of the set are reached). When players have 15 charges of the set, they receive 1800 gold coins on each safe extraction.

6 Tangled chain

Ideal for controlling and containing crowds

Tangled chain

  • Advantages: Best CC and damage control.
  • Disadvantages: High budget, class restrictions.
  • Suitable for: Tanks and melee classes.

The Tangling Chain offers the best combination of crowd control and damage reduction. At level 1, after staying within 4 meters of an enemy player for 3 seconds, the player can deal unblocked direct damage to 100 point shield for 3 seconds. This effect can be triggered once every 15 seconds against the same target and requires 12 fixed charges to activate.

Level 2 grants further benefits. When triggered, players receive 90 additional movement speed for 3 seconds, with the effect gradually decreasing over time (25 set charges required). Finally, upon reaching 30 set charges, the level 3 effect will trigger a triggered effect. The user receives 33 life regeneration per second for 3 secondsCombining it with the right accessories and defense stats can be game-changing.

5 Power of the Trinity

Good against Vanguard, big area damage

Fighter Spin Attack Knight

  • Advantages: Great for vanguards.
  • Disadvantages: Situational for other classes.
  • Suitable for: Harassment, drawn-out fights, PvP.

The Force of Trinity set is the best investment for ranged class players who are tired of dealing with pesky melee classes. At level 1, after dealing three instances of unblocked direct damage from attacks or skills within 3 seconds, users can Deal 100 physical damage to nearby enemies in an AoE radius (activated after 15 specified charges).

The level 2 effect also slows nearby targets affected by the AoE by 80%, although the effect cools down after 5 seconds (activates at 25 set charges). Finally, the level 3 effect adds a 20% vulnerability debuff to nearby targets for 5 seconds. (This effect becomes available when 30 set charges are reached.)

4 Fairy of the Lake

Good for damage and nuisance

Dungeonborne – Crafting Materials

  • Advantages: Good for kiting and harassing.
  • Disadvantages: A lot of noise and light can give away your location.
  • Suitable for: Corner targets, additional damage.

If players want to become a really annoying mage, the Fairy of the Lake set bonus is perfect. At level 1, the player summons a fairy that follows the target when dealing unblocked direct damage. After the target is hit, the fairy explodes, Deals 50 Holy damage to enemies and grants nearby allies a 50 shield for 5 seconds.

Dungeonborne: Best PvE Classes, Ranked

Players interested in the best PvE classes for Dungeonborne may want to consider the following options.

This effect cannot be triggered again until the fairy returns and requires 20 set charges to activate, but is excellent in enclosed spaces. Level 2 of the set increases the fairy’s movement speed and applies the same explosive effect when she returns. (Requires 30 set charges to activate.) It’s an expensive but worthwhile set effect, ideal for Cryomancers, Pyromancers, Druids, and Priests.

3 Storm Fury

The best combination of area damage and utility

Stormrage Set Dungeonborne

  • Advantages: Large additional damage, chain effect.
  • Disadvantages: High budget.
  • Suitable for: Harassment, debuff, utility.

Storm Rage provides a combination of chain lightning, speed boost, and a slow debuff. Level 1 causes a buildup effect from movement, and when 100 charges are reached, unblocked direct damage triggers the Storm Rage effect, dealing additional lightning damage and reducing the target’s movement speed by 75% for 0.75 seconds (requires 12 fixed charges to activate). This is a great way to initiate a ranged fight.

When Storm Rage is triggered and 25 fixed charges are reached, players will receive a 40% movement speed bonus for 1 second. This has no activation cooldown and only relies on the Storm Rage charges, so as long as they keep moving, they can keep activating it. Finally, at level 3, Storm Rage bounces between up to 3 targets, dealing 100 Lightning damage to each target and applying the Slow effect. This last effect requires 30 fixed charges to activate, but is a good investment.

2 Dragon Scale

The best in damage limitation

Dragon Scale

  • Advantages: Good damage limitation.
  • Disadvantages: Works best with certain classes.
  • Suitable for: Vanguard classes, especially Swordmasters and Death Knights.

For those who want to play a tank or melee class, the Dragon’s Scale set bonus is a great way to get even better. On the other hand, if you play the softer classes, this set will be a lifesaver in PvP. Dragon’s Scale Tier 1 Reduces damage taken by 50% on hit. The effect can be triggered once every 60 seconds and requires 15 fixed charges to activate.

Upon reaching 25 fixed charges, the second effect activates and the damage reduction effect now lasts for 3 hits or 3 seconds before going on cooldown. Combining this damage reduction with other similar effects, such as the Swordmaster’s passive ability Whirling Blades, players become virtually immortal.

1 Compassion for death

Saves the player’s life in an emergency

Compassion for death

  • Advantages: Low budget, automatic revival.
  • Disadvantages: None.
  • Suitable for: PvP, all classes.

Speaking of immortality, the compassion of death is another goal that players should strive for. In level 1 Players do not die when they take lethal damage. Instead, their health is set to 70. The effect can only be triggered once and is reset upon revival. 9 fixed charges are required to become active.

Upon reaching 15 charges of the set bonus, the effect will now trigger multiple times, but has a 120 second cooldown. This means that players are practically immortal as long as they take consistent damage during combat. It will work at least 3 to 5 times depending on the circumstances. This is the most broken set of all, and even low budget, so players can combine it with other sets if they combine their gear correctly.
