Earn triple Hyatt points on short-term rentals
Last fall, Hyatt launched a short-term rental booking platform called Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt, similar to Marriott Homes & Villas.
They don’t rent out their Airbnbs themselves. They source short-term rentals and market them for a commission. They give a portion of that revenue back to you in the form of points and stay credits. You can also redeem points for these stays at a relatively low value.
So far, I haven’t been impressed with their reach. In fact, I even forget to check their listings on the few occasions when I’m more interested in a short-term rental than a hotel (destinations where there are few hotels or I’m looking for multiple rooms).
Hyatt wants to change that! For stays between August 21 and November 3, 2024, you can now earn triple points – without registration.
You will earn ten (10) bonus points per dollar spent on your Eligible Stay. This is in addition to the five (5) base points you would receive as base earnings. For purposes of this promotion, an “Eligible Stay” is defined as any stay where a member pays an Eligible Rate. You must be a World of Hyatt member at the time of booking and staying to qualify for this offer and must provide your World of Hyatt membership number prior to check-in for each stay. Please allow two to four weeks after check-out for bonus points to post to your World of Hyatt account. Unless specifically stated otherwise, this promotion cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount.
Given the limited destinations available through the platform, it’s worth at least checking whether it makes sense to book through Hyatt, but it’s also likely that you’ll find the same and similar accommodation through other platforms. Compare rates and rewards to find out which site is best for you to book through (including directly through the property manager, who may give you a discount on your stay as they would save significant commission). Simply search for the property’s photos on other sites to find the details you’re looking for.
