A New York Lottery third-prize ticket valued at $50,000 was sold for the August 21 Powerball drawing at Moreno Brothers Inc. (94-15 Astoria Blvd., East Elmhurst).
The winning numbers were drawn from a field of 1 to 69, the red Power Ball was drawn from a separate field of 1 to 26.
The East Elmhurst lot was one of two third-prize winners in New York, the other lot was sold in the north of the state in Endicott and was also valued at $50,000.
And on August 19, the New York Lottery announced that several grand prize tickets were sold for the TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing. One of those tickets, valued at $8,649.50, was sold at Borja’s Deli Grocery Inc., 53-33 69th St. in Maspeth.
