Armed clashes broke out in Al-Ayn camp and Al-Seela Al-Harithieh, while resistance fighters attacked occupation vehicles with a domestically manufactured explosive device.

On Sunday morning, heavy armed clashes broke out in Jenin and Nablus in the northern West Bank, with resistance fighters attacking Israeli occupation forces with explosives and bullets as they entered the two cities.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Ayn Campnorthwest of the city of Nablus, and the towns of Al Seela Al-Harithieh and Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, according to Al-Jazeera.

Palestinian sources reported that armed clashes broke out in Al-Ayn and Al-Seela Al-Harithieh camps, while resistance fighters attacked occupation vehicles with a locally manufactured explosive device in both Al-Ayn and Kafr Dan camps. They reportedly managed to damage one vehicle in Al-Ayn camp.

“Epicenter of evil”

These developments are consistent with statements by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, who, according to Israel Broadcasting Corporation (KAN), to treat the camp in Jenin the same way as the Gaza Strip. Katz was quoted as calling for the evacuation of civilians from the camp in Jenin.

According to KAN, at a meeting with settler leaders a few days ago, the Foreign Minister described the refugee camps as “the epicenter of evil that is not under the control of the Palestinian Authority, but under the control of Iran.”

Katz’s statement comes amid reports from the Palestinian Red Crescent that a gunshot wound occurred during the raid on the Al-Ayn camp.

Meanwhile, Israeli invasions continued in various parts of the West Bank. Palestinian sources said that Israeli occupation forces also stormed several towns and villages in the Qalqiliya and Nablus areas. which led to clashes with residents.

At the same time, Israel continued its detention campaign in the West Bank, arresting 16 Palestinians, including former prisoners, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The agency cited a joint statement by the Palestinian Commission for Prisoners’ and Former Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) as saying the arrests took place in occupied Jerusalem, Hebron, Jenin and Qalqiliya. and Nablus.

Al-Jazeera, citing Palestinian sources, identified one of the detainees as Palestinian journalist Hamza Zyoud. Israeli occupation troops reportedly stormed his house in Seela Al Harithieh, west of Jenin, and arrested him.

According to official Palestinian sources, the escalation of military operations in the West Bank, together with the unprecedented increase in settler attacks on Palestinians since October 7, has led to the deaths of over 600 Palestinians and the wounding of some 5,400 others, as well as the detention of over 10,000 Palestinians in various parts of the West Bank.
