Erin Andrews praised Leon Draisaitl’s fiancée, Celeste Desjardins, after the Oilers star signed an eight-year, $112 million contract extension.
In the latest episode of her and Charissa Thompson’s podcast “Calm Down,” the Fox Sports NFL reporter emphasized that the actress is “so hot” as they talked about their crushes on girls.
“I’ve never met Leon Draisaitl, who just signed a huge contract with the Edmonton Oilers, and his wife, but she is so hot,” Andrews said of the unmarried couple.
“(Andrews’ husband) Jarret (Stoll) literally just said, ‘Did you see that Draisaitl signed an eight-year contract?’ and I thought, ‘Wow, he’s rich and has a hot wife, what a life!’
“She looks so good. I don’t know what nationality she is. I would assume she’s European, but wow. She’s so hot.”
Draisaitl is entering the final season of an eight-year, $68 million contract he signed with the Oilers in August 2017.
The 28-year-old striker signed an eight-year contract extension worth $14 million per season, the team announced Tuesday.
“So incredibly proud of you baby,” Desjardins, who is also a model, wrote on her Instagram story, adding a photo of the couple on the ice at Rogers Place. “I’ve seen you put so much love and hard work into everything you do.”
“Your dedication and passion for the game is unmatched. I can’t wait to see what the next 8 years have in store for you. I am so excited to embark on this journey with you and have the privilege of calling Edmonton home for the next 8 years.”
It happened a month after Draisaitl and Desjardins got engaged in July.
“The simplest yes. I love you forever,” the model wrote on Instagram at the time, adding photos of Draisaitl’s marriage proposal by the sea in Mallorca, Spain.
Desjardins, who is signed to Ford Models, has appeared in a number of Hallmark productions.
Andrews and Thompson’s podcast was titled “I Have a Girl Crush.”
They also raved about Kylie Kelce, the wife of former Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, and Derek Jeter’s wife Hannah Jeter, who is a model.
