FDA recalls cases of Walmart apple juice due to arsenic content – The Presidential Prayer Team
Almost 10,000 cases of the six-pack are being recalled because the arsenic content exceeds the national limit.

The Food and Drug Administration has updated the severity of a voluntary recall issued by Walmart for six-packs of Great Value brand apple juice. Because the product’s arsenic levels exceed the agency’s limits, the FDA has updated its recall classification to “Class II,” meaning the foods “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, or the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

Walmart has so far recalled nearly 10,000 cases of its 8-ounce apple juice, which is manufactured by Refresco Beverages US Inc. The juice was sold in the eastern and central half of the U.S. There have been no reports of illness or adverse reactions caused by the apple juice.

“Consumer safety and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. We are working hard to manage the situation,” a Walmart spokesperson said.

Pray with us as the Lord shows you…

  • For Commissioner Robert Califf, who heads the FDA and is responsible for product alerts.
  • For US authorities in their efforts to prevent adverse health events caused by food and medicine.
  • So that consumers can recognize and identify recalls and respond accordingly.
