Disney has released a first look at the new sequel series to Wizards of Waverly Place: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The premiere is scheduled for the end of this year.
“Wizards from Beyond Waverly Place”
Premiering on Disney+ and Disney Channel, this spin-off/sequel series features the return of Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie (Justin Russo) and a new young wizard named Billie, played by actress Janice LeAnn Brown. Selena Gomez serves as executive producer and will appear in the pilot.
The series description published earlier this year states the following.
The series follows adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to live a normal, mortal life with his family Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie home to seek help, Justin realizes he must brush up on his magical skills to mentor the apprentice wizard while also fulfilling his everyday duties – and securing the future of the wizarding world.
