Five local boutiques to shop for Longhorn gear and get ready for game day – The Daily Texan

As UT prepares for its debut in the Southeastern Conference, a new conference also requires a new wardrobe. But with boutiques all over Austin, finding game day outfits for students can be overwhelming. To help ease the stress of shopping, The Daily Texan has compiled a list of boutiques near campus where you can find the perfect attire.

Longhorn Fashions – 709 W. 22nd St. (5 minute drive)

Founded by UT graduate Tessie Watson, Longhorn Fashions offers a wide selection of dresses, tops and bottoms in the signature color “Burning Orange.” According to the Longhorn Fashions websiteWatson opened this boutique after attending university and realizing that the fashion industry was lacking unique, bright orange clothing. The store also features a hat bar where customers can design hats and choose from a selection of embellishments.

Sue Patrick- 5222 Burnet Rd. (10 minutes drive)

From Longhorn apparel to collectibles, this boutique ten minutes from campus has it all. Students can also find a new collection of SEC gear here, including hats, polos and mugs at a reasonable price. Shop at Sue Patrick if you’re looking for a last-minute game day outfit that won’t disappoint.

Lux Rox Boutique – 7415 Southwest Pkwy. (20 minute drive)

This luxury boutique in southwest Austin receives daily deliveries of game day outfits and accessories. From boots to sparkly clutches, this store offers a variety of styles. Students can shop the Lux Rox Boutique Instagram Page where they publish various Longhorn lookbooks. Although the 20-minute ride is the longest on this list, Lux Rox is still perfect for understated, logo-free looks.

Grove Hill ATX- 3663 Bee Caves Rd. (16 minutes drive)

Shop the 2024 GameDay collection, from tank tops to denim dresses, at this Bee Cave boutique. Grove Hill ATX also invites customers to join in the football fun at the GameDay Kickoff on August 28 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Event-goers can customize a cowgirl hat with Custom Crown Hats and pick up ready-made cookies for the tailgate party at Wesley’s Kitchen. Stop by this store to find unique pieces that are perfect for Texas pride.

Kendra Scott- 3800 N Lamar Blvd. (6 minutes drive)

This renowned jeweler’s Gameday collection includes necklaces, earrings and bracelets in a variety of colors, including burnt orange. Students can check out dozens of designs online and in-store, from football charms to pickleball charms. Match the jewelry to the clear bag, because Kendra Scott sells handbags by the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium Bag Guidelines. This shop allows students to upgrade their game day look while still getting everyday jewelry.
