Flavor South Florida 2024 restaurant list released, restaurant discounts to follow

When it comes to dining out in Palm Beach County, there’s nothing better than a good deal these days.

Luckily, locals and tourists alike can score a discount at Flavor South Florida, the annual gourmet event that officially returns in September and offers plenty to drool over.

The month-long culinary event is designed to introduce guests to the county’s wide variety of restaurants through affordable multi-course meals. Participating restaurants offer guests a choice of three-course meals at special prices for lunch and dinner.

This year, Flavor South Florida has expanded its horizons even further, offering restaurants in northern Port St. Lucie and Jensen Beach in southern Boca Raton. Additionally, several brand-new staycation deals with local resorts offer ways to save money on both a getaway and dining locally.

When Kerri Paizzi took over the reins of Flavor South Florida as owner and event director in 2021, she knew this was her chance to help the restaurant industry in Palm Beach County.

From Flavor Palm Beach to Flavor South Florida

Paizzi moved to South Florida from Long Island in 2010, leaving behind a 14-year career in New York City’s restaurant industry and taking a marketing position at Capital Grille in Palm Beach Gardens. In 2018, she founded Monarch Marketing and Design, a digital marketing agency, and Monarch Music, a booking agency that showcases musical talent in South Florida.

Their most exciting accomplishment to date? Taking over and redesigning Flavor Palm Beach from event founder Briana Beaty, who launched the month-long event in 2007 after moving to Palm Beach Gardens from Miami.

“We got to know each other and became friends over the years, and when she left, I felt like it was a perfect fit,” says Paizzi. “I knew immediately that I wanted to take it to the next level, and I did that by looking at the event from both the restaurant perspective and the consumer perspective, taking over the program and bringing the two together in a way that made sense for everyone.”

What was once no more than a dozen restaurants has now grown to over 50. So far, a total of 66 restaurants have registered to participate in the 2024 Flavor South Florida Restaurant Promotion, and that number is expected to grow in the coming weeks.

Paizzi said the move comes at an ideal time for local restaurants, which are feeling the economic impact of rising rents, food and labor costs, and an unusually slow summer economic recovery.

“I am more than passionate about helping these restaurants succeed,” concludes Paizzi. “The support of the public is what makes these restaurants thrive.”
